10.51 You Gotta Fight

A few weeks ago I went to see the band Stars. They are celebrating 20 years as a band and so decided to mark this in a different way. It was at Crow’s Theatre in the east end of Toronto and was a hybrid of a concert and a play. There was a set, the band members played themselves, and there were scenes between the songs. Their goal was to show the audience what it’s like to be a working band for 20 years - all the fights, affairs, marriages, kids, success, failures. They would do a scene, tell you a story, and play a song from their catalogue that reflected it.

10.50 Five Cups

When I’m up to five cups of coffee a day, I know I’m in trouble.

One advantage to getting older is being able to have a better understanding of your moods. Anyone that knows me, knows that I can be a bit moody at times. A bit. Okay, sometimes a lot. My friends and family are gracious enough to be patient and accept all of the different angles that make me up. And I hope I do the same for them.

10.49 December Dispatches!

At this time of the year, I usually make the joke - this is my last [post, blog, episode, show, etc.] of the year. The joke being that the next thing will probably be coming up in the next few weeks after the holiday season. I just enjoy people perhaps thinking about how it might be a long time before they hear from me again, only to be inundated with all sorts of stuff pretty much right away. Anyway, it’s hilarious to me and never gets old.
